  Greasy diners with sub-par food are a dime a dozen and sadly, this is one of them. Sweet Peas serves your typical breakfast - eggs, bread, meat and potatoes. It's one of those meals where you get what they give you. You order your potatoes crispy deep fried and they come extra soggy straight off the grill, over-medium eggs...not so much, over-easy with runny whites, yes. I will give some praise to the biscuits which are buttery, flaky and deliciously laced with a 1000 calories, but I'm one of those people who like them sliced and toasted on the grill and they missed the mark. The MOST disappointing part of the breakfast experience is the CANNED GRAVY, the lazy mans choice, and take it from me, I worked in a restaurant for years and can spot that goo from a tin a mile away. Not only is it so cheap and easy to make, it is the pillar of every Southerners breakfast, well, that and fried home fries. I can look past the tight dining space which touts out-dated dusty decor if the food or service made up for it, but it doesn't. I'd say the average ticket time for eggs, meat, bread and potatoes will take at least 30 minutes to create, even if you're the only ticket. They do serve lunch - most, if not all, options are frozen foods they plop in the fryer to heat. I kept telling myself that the new owners would be better than the last, but I was lying. This place has so much potential, but the owners have no drive...or maybe they didn't hire the right people and didn't do their homework to know what their potential customers want. In sum, don't waste your time or money.
